Raspberry Pi 4 stuck on start

Hi,

I have Raspberry Pi 4 with integrated audio. 

In my plane I want use external DAC using USB with Raspberry like digital network transport. 

 

But when I try RPI 4 and PRI 64 images no internet has been configured on the LAN connected. Device hasn't start. 

 

Unfortunately I have no display to see errors as possible. 

But I don't see information about my type of usage HiFiBerry. 

Can someone help me to understand may I have doing something wrong.

 

My installation is: 

2 imager's Balena and RPI imager.

Images downloaded from official site. 

I'm using USB disk on key to write image and start from.

  You're talking about an "external DAC using USB". So it seems your not using a HiFiBerry product. What exactly are you trying to do?

  Yes, I understand thar RPI 4B can be used as host with OS only. Am I mistake?

  You mean HiFIBerryOS? No, HiFiBerryOS only supports HiFiBerry sound cards.

  So could you please explain what about versions for RPI 2 3 4 and 64 for RPI HW versions? 

  I'm confused as I'm searching digital transport with Tidal and Spotify connect and found you have supporting RPI several versions in your doc's.

  What exactly do you want to know? HBOS for Pi2,3,4 is the "old" HiFIBerryOS. There is no development on this anymore. We focus on HBOS64 that runs on Pi3,4 and 5.

  Ok, I'll explain. 

  I need to use RPI4 that I have like a digital network audio transport for files and streaming play music using external DAC connected by USB. HBOS 64 or HBOS per each one RPI's is not matter currently. 

   

  I have RPI4B but no one HBOS version (included 64) could start on it. 

  Now you have written about only HB HW are supported. But I see versions for RPI's that should support my RPI4 like 64 alpha release I have tried. 

  So, my question is: 

  - what exactly means HBOS 64 are supporting RPI 3,4,5? What I haven't do correct? 

  - is it possible to use HBOS like I need?

  Unfortunately I can't say why HBOS doesn't boot on your Pi. However, you can't use it anyway as you don't use a HiFiBerry sound card.
