Hello. I have an application where I need a Pi to be a player connected to speakers and also accept a toslink audio input from a TV. I want to be able to play the TV audio locally and also stream from other network sources. I plan on using Home Assistant and the Music Assistant integration. I believe this supports snapstream so hopefully this will work with your products and HiFiBerryOS.

Can you please recommend what products would be needed for this application and any application docs that would help me get this set up.

  If you're using active speakers, the DAC+ DSP can do this, for passive speakers, I would recommend the Beocreate 4-channel amplifier.
  
  Snapcast is integrated in HiFiBerryOS. However, you should understand that this isn't a trivial setup. You need to setup snapcast also on other systems that send audio to the Pi. It's not something that will work just plug-and-play. Only a few users user snapcast.
