Cannot recording sound from hifiberry DAC+ADC

This is on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with raspi kernal 6.6.25

I'm having trouble record from a microphone with DAC+ADC. The hifiberry is the only device shown when I run aplay -l and arecord -l. There aren't any trouble to playing sound.

However, when I try to record with hifiberry, it doesn't capture any sound.

I'm pretty sure that the microphone is available, it was functioning in another computer.

  What microphone do you connect? The DAC+ ADC won't work with microphones that require a mic bias voltage.

  I borrowed a new microphone which doesn't require a mic bias voltage, and that works.
