I successfully installed an Amp 2 on my RPi 4B and am able to play sounds via aplay.
The problem is, when I set
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus-std
in /boot/firmware/config.txt, output to my HDMI display is now blank.
Is there any way to use the Amp 2 and still use the HDMI output for a display?
Haven't seen this. HDMI display is working just fine here. What distribution are you using?
The newest version of Raspberry Pi OS:
Just check wit the latest Raspberry Pi OS Lite 64bit and everything is working just fine. No problem with the Amp and the Pi4. You might try another Pi.
I should clarify that my display does show the Raspberry Pi boot process screen, but once the service scripts are finished running, the desktop does not come up and instead shows a blank screen.
Edit: Can you please provide a full working config.txt file that I can test with?

Please tell us what is in your config.txt, did you do a blacklist, I would love to get my amp2 working to
