This issue just started out of the blue - when I play an album or playlist on Spotify (iOS) and then select HifiBerry as my speaker it starts playing the first track, but once that track ends it hangs up and does not advance to the next track. I have to open my app back up, select the next track, and then reconnect to the HifiBerry speaker. What makes this more strange is it that rarely it will actually advance to the next track - just only 5-10% of the time. Any ideas? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and both plugins.

Fishertimj Same problem here! It's been happening for a while, actually. The problem does not occur with Airplay.

HiFiBerry team volllibrespot bundles with HiFiBerryOS seems to get more and more problems with Spotify's changes. HiFiBerrySO64 Alpha 7 comes with an alternative Spotify player (spotifyd) as an extension. You might try this. However, from the experience here it seems to crash after some time when the metadata interface is enabled.

Edward Buchanan I tried the latest OS and enabling the spotifyd extension but the issue persists. This is the only reason I built the HiFiBerry to begin with - to stream Spotify. Hope the vollibrespot team can fix this issue.
