Hi there
Have been using a Pi4 with a Digi+ and Ropieee for a while - no issues.
Have just tried to install HifiBerry OS, and I'm now stuck in a loop.
With HDMI display connected, I can see...
- Starting DSP Server
- Configuring Players
- Starting DSP Server
- Starting AudioControl2
And then it reboots, and goes through the same.
I've tried
- downloading the image again
- 4 different cards!
- 2 different Pi-4 power supplies
Any thoughts?

Probably the card isn't detected correctly. My first guess is that this is an older Digi+ Pro or Digi2 Pro that's not compatible with the latest Pi4. This would result in this behaviour.

The Pi4s are probably around 18 months old. Have tried two now with the same issue.
Any upgrade/exchange on the Digi board at all? Otherwise it's of no use to me now!

Check the hardware revision (just use a normal Raspberry Pi OS for this):

As the Digi+ was released a long time before the Pi4, we don't offer upgrades or exchange. However, we might be able to offer a discount on a new board. Contact us at support@hifiberry.com and let us know when and where you bought the original Digi+ Pro.
Both Pi4 - one is Model B Rev 1.1, the other is Model B Rev 1.2. Both exhibit the same issue.

I've just connected it to a Pi3 and it installs/boots fine - no issues.

Ok, in this case, this seems to be some bug. Are you using the latest HBOS64 Alpha?
No - using the production image for the Pi4.
FYI - after the initial issues with the Pi4 I updated the firmware/EEPROM which made no difference.
This isn't a know bug, but try the HBOS64 Alpha

Gave that a try, get to login - login with root/hifiberry and leaves me at the # prompt
And then reboots a few seconds later
Even tried on a NEW Pi4
Look like the board is toast.
Next steps?
But the board works with Raspberry Pi OS - right?
Doesn't reboot under Pi OS
And doesn't reboot when connect to a Pi3
Very odd :-)
If it works there, it must be some strange bug in HiFiBerryOS. Unfortunately I can't reproduce it here. Only thing I can offer is to send it in and we try to figure it out here.
More than happy to send it in; may help other people in the long run.
