Hifiberry amp with Bluetooth turntable

Hi, I have an amp2 with the latest version of hifiberry linuxworking fine on pi 4b. It works for roon. It works for bluetooth from my phone. I would like to connect an audio technica turntable (at-lp60xbt) by Bluetooth. The turntable connects fine to a "ultimate ears boom" Bluetooth speaker. When I try to pair to the turntable nothing happens. I reset the turntable and disable the old speaker. The two devices are next to each other. The hifiberry Web interface shows Bluetooth to be set to continuous pairing. The turntable flashes for pairing, but never succeeds. Is this because I need a newer pi for newer Bluetooth hardware perhaps, or to do something via cli? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan
