Good evening, I purchased HiFi digipro, I connected it to my raspberry pi 4 but, by typing aplay -l I don't see anything, I tried to delete dtparam=audio=on but nothing, the card isn't displayed...
if instead I comment the line: dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
and I add dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi-pro, the next time I restart the screen remains black

HiFiBerry team If this is a Digi+ Pro and the latest Pi hardware: These are incompatible:
https://www.hifiberry.com/blog/digi2-pro-raspberry-pi-4-1-5-incompatibilities/
If you're using the latest Pi hardware, you need the latest Digi2 Pro.
However, this has nothing to do with "screen remains black" -
Gianluca I use pi 4, 4gb ram
-
Gianluca The result: raspberry pi 4 Model B rev 1.2
-
HiFiBerry team Ok, this should work. If the Pi doesn't boot at all, make sure you have force_eeprom_read=0 in your config.txt
-
Gianluca the line you suggested wasn't there, I inserted it at the end of the file, on the next reboot I still don't see the tab, so I commented the line:
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
It is inserted: dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi
black screen when restarting... -
HiFiBerry team Does the system boot at all? I can't say anything about the screen. What distribution are you using?
-
Gianluca yes, it starts, I use the latest version of raspberry pi os
-
HiFiBerry team I can't say anything about the screen. Is the card listed when running aplay -l?
-
Gianluca it seems to see it, I connected via ssh, and this is the result:
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: sndrpihifiberry [snd_rpi_hifiberry_digi], device 0: HifiBerry Digi HiFi wm8804-spdif-0 [HifiBerry Digi HiFi wm8804-spdif-0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
But now I don't know how to test it....

HiFiBerry team Here are some examples:

Gianluca mplayer installed, music track started, speakers muted...
-
HiFiBerry team What card exactly are you using?
-
Gianluca Hi-fi digi+ digital sound card

HiFiBerry team There is no "Hi-fi digi+". Please check exactly what your invoice says. There are different cards that require different configurations.
