I found the CarPiHAT, but I don't think it'll work?
I want to build a Car computer, throwing my Joying out the window, but there are quite a few loose ends;)
Any pointers as to what I can use to power it?

HiFiBerry team This won't work. While the Beocreate can be powered directly by the 12-14V from a car, you need to implement additional protection. Car power often has spikes that are higher than even the 24V the Beocreate is specified for. These need to be filtered, otherwise the Beocreate and/or the Pi can be damaged.

Jason Hunter You saying it won't work, cause that CarPiHAT won't fit on the Pi with Beocreate 4CA already on top?
If that's the case, are there some products like CarPiHAT that I can use that you know of?)

HiFiBerry team It won't fit because it won't fit physically, but also a 5V power supply can't be used at all as the Beocreate requires 12-24V.
I'm not sure what you want to use this product for.

HiFiBerry team You only need some protection circuit. However, I can't recommend a specific device. Usually electronics to be used in cars get designed in a way to deal with this kind of stuff.
