It has been 2 or 3 years since i last played with the DAC+DSP.
I need a reminder of how to add new DSP profiles.
Does one download from: https://github.com/hifiberry/hifiberry-os/tree/master/buildroot/package/dspprofiles.
Then put them in: /opt/beocreate/beo-dsp-programs.
Restart the system and they show under: DSP programs.
Do i need to add metadata to the profiles already on the github link above?
This won't show up as it is a DSP profile for the DSP add-on, not the DAC+ DSP. You should use the profiles that come with HiFiBerryOS.
I just wanted to try out the higher sample rate versions.
I don't think we have one for the DAC+ DSP.

I'm a bit confussed and not so sure that there hasn't ever been a profiles for higher samples..
As I remember, once I ran dac+ dsp for the first time, I tested somehow 192k (or at least 96k). It might have been the default preset. Then, for curiosity, I installed suggested 48k profile and lost the prior great one. I still have that profile on the source path but can't access from GUI.
Could you point me a direction on how to restore/recreate profile for higher sample rate?
I want to use it later as a base for my room compenstion with REW or hifiberryos build-in function.
The DSP profiles shown in the UI are in /opt/beocreate/beo-dsp-programs
You won't "loose" a profile by installing another one. Maybe you published your individual profile directly from SigmaStatui. In this csae, HiFiBerryOS doesn't know about it

I found the solution. If you're running DAC+ DSP and want to try out the 'higher sample rate' then standard 48kHz just:
1. pick for instance generic96.xml or generic192.xml from https://github.com/hifiberry/hifiberry-os/tree/master/buildroot/package/dspprofiles.
2. upload it to /opt/beocreate/beo-dsp-programs
3. from GUI select the profile or run
/bin/dsptoolkit install-profile /opt/beocreate/beo-dsp-programs/generic96.xml
Works fine.
