Hi there, does it mean that we can directly mount all HifiBerry products on top of the Tinkerboard? Or do we need to route the pins separately?
Yes, it can be directly plugged onto the Tinkerboard.
Best regards,
Daniel
There doesn't seem to be a hifiberry-digi overlay on that TinkerOS image. Are the DIGI boards not supported?
Hi,
as far as I know, Asus still has problems with the I2S slave mode. Therefore, the Digi+ isn't yet supported and the DAC+ Pro will only run in DAC+ mode without the integrated oscillators. I hope, they can fix this with one of the next updates.
Best regards,
Daniel
I don't think a standard distribution will have the necessary drivers included.
Best regards,
Daniel
Where are these distributions listed? On asus.com I can only find ThinkerOS-Debian v1.8 from April 17..
Found some distro's at https://www.tinkerboarding.co.uk/forum/thread-69.html
FYI, there is also direct SPDIF output available on the Tinker board.
I was using the Amp2 on a Tinkerboard successfully with Pianoteq, where I select the audio device with direct hardware output. Worked absolutely great. Never got it working with the pulseaudio setup though.
Some days agos (maybe after some very minor system update) the Amp2 is just staying silent. I can see it in the system, select it, use alsamixer to set the volume, but no sound at all. Swapped into a Raspi3 it's working fine, so no hardware issue.
Someone has an idea where to look?
And maybe also a HOWTO on how to get it working as pulseaudio system device? I'd like to run raspotiy on it.
Thx

The DAC+ Pro is supported on the Tinkerboard S.
Can you confirm that it indeed works as expected including the low jitter oscillators?
best

Does the DAC Pro XLR work on Tinker board? Including Squeezebox emulation?
Should be, but I'm not aware of the latest software updates from Asus. However, for a Squeezelite player, even the oldest Pi will do the job as this isn't anything that requires a lot of resources
Hi all
Got myself a tinkerboard R 2.0. Here is some output:
ls /boot/overlays | grep hifi
hifiberry-dacplus-overlay.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplus-overlay.dts
Later I'll add the output from a Rpi 3B+

Here is the output from a pi 3B+
hifiberry-amp.dtbo
hifiberry-amp100.dtbo
hifiberry-amp3.dtbo
hifiberry-dac.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplus.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplusadc.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplusadcpro.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplusdsp.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplushd.dtbo
hifiberry-digi-pro.dtbo
hifiberry-digi.dtbo
So, apart from the dacplus, no other device seems to be supported :-( !!!
Next step: I'll try to get the sigmatcpservice up on the tinkerboard. I'll be back.

Here is my output from a gen1 Tinker Board:
hifiberry-amp.dtbo
hifiberry-dac.dtbo
hifiberry-dacplus.dtbo
hifiberry-digi-pro.dtbo
hifiberry-digi.dtbo
Audio players/volume control does not seem to recognize the Hifiberry, and no sound comes out of it. Any ideas on additional configuration that may be needed?
