What is the way to make a rpi+amp2 configuration to also act as a TV speaker?
The TV has analog and optical output.
I tried with bluetooth but the lag is significant.
Thank you.

HI,
there is no input on the Amp2. The Beocreate 4 channel amplifier will have an optical input:

Hi ! Pretty new and very interested !
What about HDMI ARC (Audio Channel Return) ? I know that Rpy only provide hdmi 1.3 for now.
But, what about another board ? Like Libre Computer LePotato ?

Or Asus thinker board that is supposed to be compatible with HifiBerry ?
I don't know any SBC that supports ARC. The Tinkerboard is the only SBC except the RPI that is (partially) compatible with our boards (they still have trouble with some drivers).
Best regards,
Daniel
I'd like to connect an Kodi based media player (also playing DVB-T TV) to a Raspi with an Hifiberry Amp. Theoretically Pulseaudio over network should be an option, but I couldn't get it to work.
Does someone have experiences with a setup like this? Is it possible to control the latency issues? At least for playing video file it should at least be possible to shift the audio track accordingly.
Hi Erik,
why don't you run Kodi directly on the Raspberry Pi?
While PulseAudio over network is a theoretical option, I also haven't seen somebody using this on a Raspberry Pi.
Best regards,
Daniel
Hi Daniel --
I'm running an OSMC Vero as a media center, but me hifi speakers are a connect to an Amp2 at a different location in the living room. It would be nice to occasionally route the audio output of the Vero to those speakers.
I guess multiroom audio just over Wifi is not yet here.

Hi !
I was wondering if I can add a HiFiBerry DAC + DSP on top of the AMP2 to add digital input to it or do I have to go with an AMP100 or Beocreate ?
Thanks.
You can't combine multiple sound cards on the same Pi. If the optical input is a crucial part, we recommend the Beocreate rather than Amp100+DSP add-on as the SPDIF on the Beocreate can work without additional software on the Pi.
