Hi,
I'am running AMP+ on RPI2 and trying to switch to the AMP2 card.
When switching AMP+ for AMP2 the card is not visible in Kodi. I cannot select the card in Audio output menu.
Is there any installation procedure I can follow to get this working?

Kodi 17.4

you need to change the overlay. For the Amp2 you need to use the hifiberry-dacplus overlay.

Thank you for the fast reply. That did it. It is working.
How can I access the config.txt from Kodi? The image boots right up to Kodi, and I cannot get into the graphic surface or any editor.
And: how to change the overlay? Or: is there an image what is prepared for the Amp2 already?

If you run Kodi OpenElec version use: root/openelec, for LibreElec use root/libreelec
then:

(for others: the config.txt can be accessed as described above directly from the Raspi, but also with Windows over the microSD card.)
AND! I have to thank for the extremly fast answer(s)! THAT is service as it should be.
I have a similar issue Amp2 but with Plex Media Player (v 2.17). I do not get sound out of the Amp2 nor do I see it as an output option in Plex Media Player GUI.

I am stumped.
Try installing a plain Raspbian from here:
https://www.hifiberry.com/build/download/
Check the output of aplay -l with this.
Do you have anything connected to the Raspberry Pi except the Amp2?

Thanks for the reply. Your download boots ok to to the Raspbian config menu and following local settings, etc., I do see the Amp2 config (HiFiberry DAC+) listed via aplay -l. Now I'm good with the card....but I'm broken with respect to Plex Media Player. It seems that installing the latter onto generic (or your version) Raspbian is quite a chore as it has to be compiled on the Pi itself.

I don't have any experiences with Plex Media Player. However, the easiest solution might be to use LibreElec with the Plex plugin.

Got it working with some caveats / adjustments neededL
-- Installed the Raspbian with Hifiberry DAC add-on: : raspbian-hifiberry img.
-- Installed Kodi:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install kodi
-- installed the Plex add-on
-- logged in to Plex account via "link"
-- music now plays with very high quality via Hifiberry AMP2.....
....but it was EXTREMELY LOUD (painfully so)...
....until I figured out that the + / - buttons controlled the volume in Kodi / Plex combo.
Now to automate the boot and get remote control and / or Plex "flinging" working and we've got a terrific quality rig!
