My set up has been working fine for a very long time, using Pulseaudio with the Hifiberry Amp.
Recently my kernel was upgraded to 4.9 from 4.4. Since then, I can only play sounds at the native sample rate of the amp - i.e. 44.1kHz stereo.
Any other format just doesn't play. Pulseaudio doesn't show any errors so I'm a bit stumped.
Has anyone else had issues since updating to kernel 4.9?

I'm using piCorePlayer, which recently upgrade to version 3.20, including kernel 4.9.21. Since then, 48kHz sounds do not play anymore.
Apart from that, I think only 44.1 and 48kHz are supported anyway, though now leaving us with only 44.1kHz.
Would love to see a fix for this!

Yo only have to install the latest kernel with rpi-update.
My current kernel version is "4.9.32-v7+ #1008 SMP Thu Jun 15 17:44:57 BST 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux" and the sound is playing well.
