Screen rotation on HB OS

Since I have undertaken this project - it has been nothing but lots of bugs, frustrations & disappointments.

I have a Model 3B+ & Digi2Pro + 7.9 Inch Waveshare LCD HDMI

Issues - 
1 - Spotify connect won't work - whatever I do
2 - Screen rotation - tried everything I could find online - but screen won't rotate.

I have given up on issue#1, was here to seek answers for Issue#2. 

Anyone? I have edited config.txt with everything known - lcd rotate, display hdmi rotate etc - it stays stuck. Unsure what to do.

  How much memory in MB to assign to the GPU on Pi models having
