Hi

I have a HiFiBerry DAC+ADC Pro and I get an error on starting up Audacity:

  /src/AudioIO.cpp(973): assert "false" failed in AudioIO() - 

I can record audio with gnome recorder

My aplay -l looks like this:

in config.txt I have

dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d,noaudio

dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplusadcpro

force_eeprom_read=0

here is my uname -a (pi 4, 8GB Ram)

Linux raspberrypi 6.1.21-v8+ #1642 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr  3 17:24:16 BST 2023 aarch64 GNU/Linux

My Dac+ADC Pro Hardware revision is 1.0.1

I also have the problem, that some other application (odr-dabenc) crashes when selecting the Dac+ADC Pro as an input.

  Unfortunately the error message isn't helpful at all. As recording works in general, it's probably best to ask in some audacity forum where this error message might come from.

  Thank you for your time.

  Do you see anything in the rest of my config, which I did wrong? My Problem is only becoming visible with audacity, but actually is about that other software, which crashes when selecting the hifiberry as input (odr-dabenc, asked there for help too).

  I wonder if there is some underlying problem which is affecting them both or some other tests I can run, to ensure hifiberry is working correctly.

  The driver is configured correctly. As you also already recorded something, configuration is fine.
