DAC + DSP Unknown profile lock

Hi,

I have been using DAC + DSP with my RPI 3B on HifiberryOS and was able to setup it as needed. However after 2023 update I have non-working DSP program somehow locked on EEPROM and nothing helps to remove it. I tried reboots, reinstalls, jumper stuff, other distro like Volumio or Moode, rollback to previous version, installing tens of different profiles ending up with the same unknown profile and not being able to store settings again. Checksum of that locked profile is: 30F8E2E60F9359A7862E69CCFE9A2FD6. I have spent last days trying to resolve it and nothing happens - do you have any clue what could be wrong? I checked different power adapters, 2 sd cards, nothing has changed. Is there any other way to clear EEPROM?

This could be cause by the "sampleRate"/"samplerate" bug:

Hi,

Thanks for that answer. Seems like web UI works for me, I tried this solution anyway with following (lack of) results:

1. Applied v13 from command line -> reboot.

2. Web UI returns again Unknown program, cursed checkum remains the same, check eeprom see no issues.

3. Edited v12 sampleRate -> applied profile-> store failed -> reboot.

4. Nothing has changed.

You mean if you install a DSP profile from command line the checksum is still the same after this?

Please post the exact commands and the output

Yes, and store command does not work at all, I tried default profile, v11, v12, v12.1, v13 and get-checksum is always 30F8E2E60F9359A7862E69CCFE9A2FD6.

And again - I had it all worked well for like 4 weeks with proper checksum coresponding to profile and store function worked ok.

Hmm, according to this, the DSP profile has been installed, but obviously it's not.
Ok, let's try the following to debug this further

After Upgrade HIFIBERRYOS from a late 2022 Version to 20230404 I have the same issue like Michael. -> DSP Profile lock.
I tried different RPI 3B, different (also new) SD cards and different images (first a rollback with the Backup functionality) then older Images from 2022.
Each time after first login I get under Sound/DSP Programs - "Unknown Program"
When I tried to install an available program (V11 to V13, V14 w/o Version # I got
"DSP program installation failed Program was succesfully written, but didn't persist in memory..."
When I try it on command line (with your suggested commands above) I get:

Checksum for Version 13 give each time a different number, Version 14 don't give me a checksum.

What can I do other than this? Send in the card to you is an option before buying a new one.
