Digital music player in metal case

Our user Nico from the Netherlands has created this music player (original information here).

The front of the case with a on/off switch with a blue ring LED

the back has output for analogue audio, HDMI, ETH, USB and the power input

    It's a big case for such a small hardware piece. And expensive because of the Neutrik connectors and the loss of the other three Raspberry PI USB's. Even the power is outside situated but without a micro-USB connector so you can't use the original Raspberry PI power supply. There's plenty room for a LCD display.
    Take a look at NUXII for a good Hifiberry design although I would prefer to see no cable's and see the LCD display at the front.
    Positive of Nick's design : all the cable's are out of sight!

    I agree there is plenty room for a display. That's the goal from the beginning. In fact, we now have the PLUS version of the MusicPlayer, with a display and buttons for prev, play/pause and next.

    We also introduced an improvement with build-in power supply since there is room for that.
    (toroidal transformer and TentLabs tube heater supply directly connected to the analog circuit)
